Fondaco dei Tedeschi

In 2016 Paolo Castelli S.p.A. carried out an important project in Venice, providing custom-made furniture for the Beauty & Fragrance area inside the new luxury mall housed in the historic Fondaco dei Tedeschi building overlooking the Grand Canal.
The Bologna-based company was responsible for the production and installation of custom-made furniture for the perfumery area, a 600-square-meter space designed by British architect Jamie Fobert. Rem Koolhaas was responsible for the overall design, with Studio F&M Ingegneria providing support for project management and technical design.

The ground floor, once a lively medieval courtyard, now houses luxury boutiques overlooking the Grand Canal, while the upper floors accommodate different merchandise categories over a total area of 7,000sqm: fashion, accessories, jewelry, watches, wines and spirits, gastronomy, as well as the area dedicated to beauty and perfumery.
